The landmark of Hannover

In the dome hall are the well-known city models, where visitors can understand the development of Hanover from the Middle Ages to modern times. Also popular is the driveway with the bow elevator in the town hall dome.

The Old Town Hannover

The streets in the old town invite you to stroll along historic half-timbered facades. Many quaint pubs and cafés can be found, boutiques invite you to shop.

In addition to the Marktkirche and the Old Town Hall you must have visited the Kreuzkirche and Ballhofsplatz.

The Red Thread

Discover Hanover on foot

If you bring some time and want to walk all sights of Hanover on foot, the so-called red thread is recommended.

A 4.2 kilometer long line, painted in red on the pavement, connects the 36 most important sights of Hanover to a tour. A good starting point for the sightseeing tour is the Tourist Information opposite the main train station.
